LONELINESS has no age

Fotoprojekt "ÜKSILDUS ei küsi vanust" on lugu märkamisest - koos märkamisest. 

Märgates inimest, kes vaatab hommikul peeglist vastu. Märgates inimest, kes on kõrval, vastas. Me kõik oleme erinevad, nagu ka meie üksildus. On neid, kes väidavad, et seda tunnet ei eksisteeri ja neidki, kes vaatavad hommikul peeglisse, manades ette oma parima naeratuse, haarates kaasa sobivaima maski, et suuta järjekordne tööpäev õhtusse veeretada. Kas julgeme olla piisavalt tugevad, et seda tunnet iseendas märgata? Kas meis on piisavalt julgust, et märgata kõrvalseisja üksildust või on lihtsam ignoreerida ning passiivseks kõrvalseisjaks jääda, sest nii tundub olevat lihtsam? 

Projekt on inspireeritud "photovoice"-st, lastes mitteverbaalsel kõnel - fotograafial,  astuda sõnadeta dialoogi, et rääkida ühiskonnas olulisel teemal nagu üksildus.  Tõstatades küsimusi, tekitades mõtisklusi, jagades teadlikust ning otsides lahendusi. 

Fotoprojekt "ÜKSILDUS ei küsi vanust" pakub võimaluse läbi erinevate fotolugude rääkida üksilduse tundest, mis on tunne nagu iga teinegi, oma positiivse ja vähem positiivse poolega. Julgustades sellest rääkima häbitundeta, hinnanguid andmata ning tõstatades seejuures teadlikust üksilduse tundest, selle tunde olemusest. 

12 kuud kestnud rändav fotonäitus rändas läbi 8 Eesti linna  - Tallinna, Narva, Pärnu, Kuressaare, Haapsalu, Rakvere, Viljandi ja Tartu, avades näituse 10.septembril 2023 - suitsiidiennetusepäeval ning lõpetades füüsilise rännaku  30.august 2024. 

Üks projekti eesmärkidest on olnud jõuda teema käsitluse ning fotolugudega võimalikult paljudeni ning võimalikult kaugele, mida võimaldab virtuaalne näitus alates oktoober 2024.

MÄRKAME JA HOOLIME KOOS!

Photo project "Loneliness has no age" – it's a story about noticing and doing it together. Noticing the person who's facing you in the mirror in the morning. Noticing the person next to you, or opposite you. We are all different, as is our loneliness. Some claim that this feeling does not exist, and some look in the mirror in the morning and conjure up their best smile, taking the most suitable mask to be able to roll another working day into the evening. Do we dare to be strong enough to notice this feeling in ourselves? Do we have the courage to notice the loneliness of a bystander or is it easier to ignore and remain a passive bystander yourself because it seems easier?

The project is inspired by "photovoice", letting non-verbal speech - photography, enter into a non-verbal dialogue to talk about an important topic in society such as loneliness. By raising questions, generating reflections, sharing awareness and seeking solutions.

The photo project "LONELINESS has no age" offers an opportunity to talk through different photo stories about a feeling of solitude that feels like any other, with its positive and less positive side. Encouraging to talk about it without shame, without giving judgments, and while raising awareness of the feeling of loneliness opening the nature of that feeling at the same time. The perspectives of different photographers on loneliness allow the viewers to see solitude from different angles and find the story that addresses them.

The 12-month travelling photo exhibition made it possible to visit 8 Estonian cities - Tallinn, Narva, Pärnu, Kuressaare, Haapsalu, Rakvere, Viljandi and Tartu The opening of the exhibition was on 10 September 2023 - on suicide prevention day and it ended as a physical trip on 30 August 2024.

One of the objectives of the project has been to reach as many people as possible with the treatment of the topic and photo stories, and as far as possible, which will be enabled by the virtual exhibition starting in October 2024.
